I know I have not been blogging much. Don’t think I fell off, alot had been happening in my town lately.
This weekend a fellow student of mine Matthew Braamse, committed suicide. Now I didn’t know Matt at all. Never spoke, made contact or even hardly see him. In fact didn’t know a thing about him till this weekend. From what I heard we had a lot in common.
Now it’s not like our town or school is big. (Remember two stop light) I didn’t know him because I’m a junior and he is a freshman and the year just started. Yet I feel sad. Not because I miss him, I feel sad because I don’t. Feel sad because everyone around me is in tears and sadness. I feel sad because friends of mine who knew him are in pain. I also feel sad because no one in my town was aware of suicide and there for oblivious to the obvious signs he was giving ( based on what I heard). I would like to continue but I can’t.
All I can say right now, is I’m sad. I’m sad I don’t understand.
